Title – Project Manager
Location – Hercules
Duration of temp hire – 6 (+) months
The role of the Project Manager is to lead cross functional project teams to develop system level products including hardware, software, plastic consumables and reagents. This position will be responsible for project planning, management of critical path and leading project teams. This position would also require the ability to handle multiple projects that are complex in scope with a high degree of independence. Activities will also include managing initiation, execution and close of projects. Other activities include project documentation, facilitation of team meetings with associated follow up on action items and tracking and communication of project performance. The role would also involve working with senior management and functional managers.
• BA/BS degree in life sciences or engineering required. Project management training and certification required.
• Experience in managing or developing new product development projects for 8+ years required. Prior knowledge of managing or developing instrument projects a plus. Knowledge of ISO9001 or ISO13485 a plus.
• Ability to lead teams independently and to make decisions. Ability to deal with high levels of uncertainty. Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal presentation. Strong time management, organization and multi-tasking skills. • Proficient in standard project management tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio and Project software
